Le Chien D’avant Garde Guitar Cover

Covered By Joyce

I discovered Keren Ann in high school, but this song didn’t find me till my late twenties. I remember one sleepless night, home alone, standing beside the marble kitchen table, figuring out chord progressions. The table had carried many stains I made, from forgotten frozen berries to overflow drip coffee. I can’t remember whether that table stayed in the three-bedroom apartment when we had to move, but the melodies we sang beside it always did. Like those unwashed stains, seeping in to the veins of the pale violet marbles and growing into the leaks. Just like those small scars that no longer hurts, but still make me feel that once, upon a period of a lifetime.
